Life changes, that is one thing that we can all be sure of, so no need for a permanent reminder of a temporary feeling! If it’s time to bid farewell to the ink, we can help. No Regrets Tattoo Lightening and Removal offers a safe and effective solution to lighten and remove your unwanted tattoos.

About Laser tattoo removal.
The laser uses Q-switched technology which targets the ink within the skin. It safely emits light and energy to the pigment which makes up the tattoo. This causes the ink to break down into microscopic pieces that are safely flushed out through the body’s lymphatic system.

How many Treatments will you need?
Typically, most clients will need 8 to 12+ treatments depending on the size, color and location of the tattoo. Over the series of treatments, you will begin to see fading and outstanding results. Most treatments last anywhere between 3 to 20 minutes (depending on size). It is impossible to know how many treatments a client will need until we start seeing the rate at which your body flushes away ink post-treatment. During your consultation, we will assess your tattoo in person to best estimate the number of treatments you will need based on a variety of factors, including:
Age of tattoo Size of tattoo Location of tattoo Tattoo ink colors Depth of ink Density of ink Pre-existing scarring Client health
How long do I have to wait before my next treatment?
We schedule treatments 8 to 12 weeks apart to give your skin enough time to heal before undergoing another session. Depending on how your skin heals, the time between each treatment may change. Scheduling a treatment too early into the healing process may cause more harm to your body than good. Laser tattoo lightening/removal is lengthy process, but the results are well worth the wait.

Does laser tattoo lightening/removal hurt?
The feeling of the laser tattoo lightening/removal is most commonly compared to having a rubber band snapped against the skin. Fortunately, laser tattoo lightening/removal is a very quick procedure that lasts anywhere from 3 to 20 minutes depending on the size of the tattoo being treated. We like to assure clients that if they can sit through having a tattoo applied, they can tolerate having one lightened/removed.

Are there any side effects?
Laser tattoo lightening/removal is a very safe procedure that elicits very few side effects. The most common side effects that clients experience are redness, swelling, blistering, and scabbing. All of these side effects are temporary and will eventually go away as things heal. We strongly advise clients to refrain from picking or popping any scabs or blisters to avoid risks of scarring and or infection from occurring. As long as you follow proper aftercare instructions, your skin should heal clearly and beautifully without any permanent side effects.

Can you lighten my tattoo for a cover-up?
Yes! In addition to complete tattoo removal, you can also get a partial removal or lightening of tattoos in preparation for a cover-up tattoo.
Many clients use cover-up tattoos as a solution for dealing with unwanted ink. Cover-up tattoos simply conceal an existing tattoo by overlaying it with another piece of artwork. Unfortunately, tattoo artists have difficulty covering up existing tattoos that are really dark or contain a lot of ink. Laser tattoo lightening/removal is the perfect solution for cover-up tattoos because it fades down the original tattoo, giving tattoo artists a cleaner canvas to work on and more flexibility with their design.

Preparing for your tattoo removal visit
All clients should follow these tips before coming in for an appointment. Doing so before each treatment will help you obtain the best possible results for your tattoo and skin.
Wear comfortable clothing to your appointment. We advise patients to wear loose fitting clothes that are not too constricting against the skin. This prevents your clothes from rubbing against the treated area after a session. Make sure the treated area is clean before your appointment. Patients with thick hair on the treated area are advised to shave beforehand. If you plan on using a numbing cream or ointment before coming in, please let your laser technician know. Excess oils or ointments may take away from the success of your treatment.

Aftercare is an essential part of the tattoo removal process as it helps ensure the best possible results and prevents complications. Here are some general aftercare instructions for tattoo removal.
Keep the treated area clean: Clean the treated area with mild soap and water twice a day. Pat dry gently with a clean towel or air dry. Avoid soaking: Avoid soaking the treated area in water for at least two weeks after each treatment. This includes baths, swimming pools, hot tubs and saunas. If you need to go outside, wear protective clothing and use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with a high SPF. DO NOT scratch or pick treated area: DO NOT scratch or pick at the treated area as this can cause scarring and delay the healing process. Apply ointment or cream as directed: Apply the ointment or cream prescribed by your laser tech. as directed to help soothe and protect the treated area. Monitor the area for signs of infection: Keep an eye out for signs of infection such as redness, swelling, warmth or drainage. If you experience any of these symptoms, contact your laser tech immediately. Follow your laser techs aftercare instructions: your laser tech may have specific instructions based on the type of laser used and the location of the tattoo. Follow these instructions carefully to ensure the best possible results. Remember, tattoo removal is a gradual process, and it may take several treatments to achieve the desired results. By following these aftercare instructions, you can help ensure the best possible outcome and reduce the risk of complications.
